LAAC News:
Los Alamos Arts Council (LAAC), Los Alamos MainStreet and Creative District announce the winners of the 2021 Scarecrows on Mainstreet contest.
This year 18 organizations and families took on the theme “Out of this World” and showered downtown with their talent and creativity, bringing to life robots, aliens, scientists, famous astronauts and even a spaceship!
Winners will receive $70 in “chamber checks”, courtesy of Los Alamos MainStreet and Creative District.
LAAC, MainStreet and Creative District thank all participants and people who voted for their favorite, for their support.
Winners:
- Fan Favorite: Alien Mama by First Born Program of Los Alamos
- Family Contemporary: Garbage Vader Recycle Bot by Mitchell, DeYoe, Dryja and Safarik Families
- Business Contemporary 1st Place: That’s no Scarecrow by Los Alamos STEAM Lab
- Business Contemporary 2nd Place: Pablo the Planet Man by YMCA Los Alamos Teen Center
- Business Traditional: God’s Love in Action by First United Methodist Church of Los Alamos
