This year’s Grand Marshal is Steve Lynne who just recently retired this July after working for Los Alamos County for the past 28 years. He moved to New Mexico in 1994 and then to Los Alamos in 1996.

Lynne and his wife Suzanne raised their kids here in Los Alamos. As a resident and a public servant, he  believed it was his job to enhance the quality of life in Los Alamos.

“I knew that Los Alamos was different, but it did not take long for me to recognize just how lucky I was be to living and working here,” Lynne said. “And now that I am at the end of my career with the County, I can look back and say that all these years I have been Roping the Dream. Los Alamos is amazing!”

The Northern New Mexico Royalty Court competition was held in June of this year and judged by Courtney Gurule and former New Mexico State Fair Queen Tonantzin Candelaria.

This year’s Royalty Court is Queen Belita Martinez, Princess Jewel Jaramillo, Sweetheart Lilyanne Montoya and Jr. Sweetheart Ashleigh Enriquez.
