LAPC News:

The Los Alamos Photo Club is hosting its 21st Annual Show April 4 through April 30 in the upstairs gallery of Mesa Public Library.

The public is invited to the April 4 opening as well as to the April 19 Club walk-through. Both events will allow guests and participants to view submitted works and to interact informally with the photographers

The show is intended to give people who live and work in Los Alamos a chance to display their photos in a formal setting. Entries are not juried. However, prints on photographic paper are expected to be framed. Participating photographers are encouraged to join the Club, but are not required to be members to display their photographs. Selected entries are published in the Club’s annual photo show book with the consent of the photographer.

Anyone interested in participating in the show must drop off their work 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 2 at Mesa Public Library on Central Avenue.

Participants should also provide a title and short description of their work as detailed in the entry instructions by April 1 to John and Marcee Sarracino at laphotoclubshow@yahoo.com

The meetings are 7-9 p.m. upstairs in Fuller Lodge Art Center. Annual dues of $15 provide membership in both clubs. Topics vary and include discussions and presentations on products such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Lightroom, other photo processing software, various software to publish photographic galleries to the web, framing, photographic techniques and more.
