SPORTS News:

On Thursday, Sept. 18, the Los Alamos High School Girls Soccer team played its first home match of the season against St. Pius X. Despite a tough 0-4 result, the Hilltoppers showed resilience and spirit in front of their home crowd.

St. Pius struck early, building a 3-0 lead by halftime. But the Hilltoppers regrouped after the break, tightening their defense and allowing only a single goal in the second half. The effort and determination from the girls in the final 40 minutes gave fans a glimpse of their potential for the season ahead.

The Hilltoppers entered the game following an impressive showing at the Albuquerque Academy Invitational tournament, where they earned second place. While Thursday’s match didn’t go their way, the team is focused on continuing to grow and build momentum.
