Wilmot Is Best Predictor In Weekly Pace Race June 23

ACRR News:

Zeke Wilmot was the top predictor in the Atomic City Road Runners (ACRR) weekly pace race held Tuesday on the Burnt Mesa Trail in Bandelier National Monument. He was 2 seconds off his predicted time. 

Other accurate predictors were: 

  • James Zola with a 3 second differential
  • Aurea Rojas recording a 8 second difference
  • Eric Davis was 9 seconds off as well as the first-place finisher in the 2-mile distance at 21:06
  • Edith Acosta with a 13 second differential

On the 1-mile course:

  • Felix Candia was the best finisher with a time of 12:29
  • 5-year-old June Rue had a 16:50 for first female finisher
  • Toni Batha was the top female in the 2-mile distance at 29:27

In the 3-mile competition:

  • Eric Anderson came in first recording a 20:52
  • Lynn Bjorklund had a 28:17 for best female

Next week’s race will be held at 6 p.m., Tuesday, June 30, at Pinon (Rocket) Park in White Rock across from the White Rock Smith’s on Sherwood Boulevard off State Route #4 in White Rock. 1-, 2-, and 3-mile paved courses will be available.
