Los Alamos County employees have worked so hard this week preparing for Saturday’s 4th of July Spectacular event. Please consider taking your trash and recyclable items back out with you when you leave the event. The last time White Rock hosted 4th of July events the amount of trash took days to remove. There were cases with full cans of beer left throughout the Overlook Complex.

Many of these County employees will work long hours tonight, longer hours tomorrow and might have to drive many miles over the next three days, too.

While I only know the names of three Alex, Ben and Dominic, who care for much of White Rock, there are many others. If you know them send kudos here or to the County Council.

Please consider the amount of funds drained in County resources, when we can simply “Pack it in, Pack it out”.

Also, please make sure your pets wear their collar as it is about to be a long night and week for animal shelters everywhere.
