For many years, retired Los Alamos Public Schools employees have looked forward to the famous NOT Back-to-School breakfast.

It is held annually on the first day that students and teachers go back to school. Retirees from all over the USA make a special effort to attend the event to share memories and talk with friends.

This year the breakfast is 9:30 a.m. to noon Thursday, Aug. 14 in Kelly Hall at Trinity on the Hill. There is a nominal charge of $10  for the breakfast, and for those who can, please add a donation for the use of the church.

All new retirees should have received an invitation in the mail and other retirees an email about the event. 

It is important that retirees RSVP to 505.662.9117 or drummer@rt66.com or larse@ieee.org. Leave information on whether or not you plan to attend and be sure to state your name, email address and phone number for future contact by this “alumni” group by this Sunday, Aug. 10. Be sure to respond early to ensure there is plenty of food for every one.
