Los Alamos Deputy County Administrator/CFO Steve Lynne and Matt Casados of REDI Net in Council Chambers today present details of a proposed $250,000 general services contract with REDI Net for the purpose of developing ‘fiber meet points’ in business districts around the community. Council voted 6-0 to approve the contract, under which REDI Net will provide research, design, engineering and construction services to place fiber meet points in the downtown areas of Los Alamos and White Rock. Councilor Rick Reiss said this is an opportunity to spend County funds on infrastructure, which he said is very important to the business community.
