Share Your Nature Bloopers At Nature On Tap

PEEC News:

We all have blunders in life, but when they occur in nature, we usually walk away with interesting stories. This will be the topic of the next installation of Nature on Tap, hosted by PEEC, which is part of an informal discussion series started by the Los Alamos Creative District.

The talk is at the Manhattan Project Restaurant at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 25. PEEC’s new Director of Interpretation Jonathan Creel will facilitate the discussion.

Have you witnessed unique animal behavior or been stuck on a camping trip where nothing could go right, despite your best planning? Come to Nature On Tap and share your stories (and a few laughs) with others! If you have an interesting story about wildlife, or just want to share an amazing experience in nature, this is a great place to tell your story.

Jonathan Creel earned his B.A. in History and M.A in Public History from the University of West Florida. While on a school trip led by his mentor who grew up in Los Alamos, Creel fell in love with Northern New Mexico and started down a career path in the field of interpretation. He served as a Park Ranger in Yellowstone National Park and Grand Canyon National Park, but always dreamed of returning to Los Alamos where he fell in love with the outdoors. Exhibit design and interpretive programming are two of his passions, as well as hiking, camping, and exploring new places. Creel joined the PEEC team in July, 2014.

The On Tap series is a relatively new project from the Los Alamos Creative District and is held every Thursday with the themes Nature on Tap, History on Tap, Science on Tap, and Art on Tap. It is a great way to get out in the community and meet people with similar interests.
