BUSINESS News:
Rose Chocolatier, creator of hand crafted chocolates, will host a Grand Opening and Open House 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 26.
Free chocolate and coffee samples will be available for tasting throughout the day. Rose Chocolatier is serving coffee and tea that can be sipped while eating chocolates at one of the small tables along a wall displaying local artwork.
Enjoy a quiet conversation, watch the chocolate making in the kitchen or just relax. LANet, Los Alamos Network Fiber Optic Internet, is providing free Wi-Fi access for Rose Chocolatier customers.
Rose Chocolatier and staff are excited to be a part of providing this service for customers in the downtown area, owner Marguerite McClay said.
The late night hours coincide with the 5-7 p.m. Fuller Lodge Art Center Opening Reception for its latest show “Masquerade”. Rose Chocolatier will be displaying art work, as well, featuring artist Louisa Gilani all month and plans to change the art work with the next Art Center show in November. View the show at the Art Center and then take a stroll down to the chocolate shop. Check out Gilani’s art work covering the wall. Also, Josephine Boyer has her art work on display and for sale throughout the fall and winter season.
Rose Chocolatier has been open for business since July but this is the first advertised event, marking Rose Chocolatier hand crafted chocolates as an established business in town. With the business growing, there are now two part-time employees helping with all the details of running a chocolate shop. As business continues to grow, the shop hours and employee hours will expand to meet the demand, McClay said.
