BSM News:
High-Tech Halloween returns to the Bradbury Science Museum 4-6:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 24. This annual event is one of the most popular for the museum and is in conjunction with Los Alamos County’s Trick or Treat on MainStreet event.
Each year, hundreds of children from kindergarten through middle school flock to the museum to enjoy a variety of activities that teach them about STEM topics and the principals of science.
“Instead of candy, we offer kids the opportunity to expand their minds in fun and creative ways,” said Jessica Privette of the BSM.
“Spooktacular” Activities:
- Cryogenics;
- Sound,
- Robotics;
- Nuclear Fission;
- Expertly Carved Jack-O-Lanterns;
- Critters such as snakes, spiders and lizards; and
- A live string quartet performing spooky Halloween music.
There is no charge for admission to High-Tech Halloween or any other activity at the Bradbury Science Museum. Museum hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday to Saturday, and 1-5 p.m. Sunday and Monday. Admission is free. The museum is at 15th Street and Central Avenue in downtown Los Alamos.
