LAVA News:
Small businesses make Los Alamos a better place to live, but they need support from the community. Here’s an opportunity to make the community a better place to live simply by investing locally.
There is a small group of people who have great ideas and who need your economic support right now. These 10 entrepreneurs are enrolled in Financing the Entrepreneurial Enterprise at the Los Alamos Commerce and Development Corporation. The class, taught by Nik Seet, teaches people how to raise seed money for a new business venture so they can bring their idea to the market place.
Right now the group members are raising funds by reaching out to their friends, family and the community. Each student is launching a crowd funding campaign on https://mainstreetcrowd.com/los-alamos-chamber/. The crowd funding campaigns went live Friday.
Visit the site. If any of the 10 ideas sound like something that would make this town a better place, make a contribution. Small donations and support from the local community can make a big difference for aspiring startup founders. Even small amounts of $10, $25 or $35 can help these business owners get started faster. Visit https://mainstreetcrowd.com/los-alamos-chamber/ to make a donation online.
“I’m very proud of all of my students and I want everyone to know about their business ideas,” Seet said.
The class presented their crowd funding videos and celebrated their joint launch with a reception Friday in the LACDC conference room.
