It is a pleasure to be a member of a community that engages enthusiastically during elections and to have a resource like the Los Alamos Daily Post to share ideas, challenge others and offer a forum for people to have a voice without a price tag.
Over the past six weeks our family has received dozens of opulent mailings filled with obviously foolish and deceitful attacks on our local candidates. I believe my neighbors, friends and community members can see through the expensive political attacks sent by out of state PACS; we will think for ourselves and vote with thoughtfulness for who has and will actively support Los Alamos respectfully.
The local election for County Council has represented our community well, not stooping to deceit and attacks but engaging in conversation and debate with respect. A leader in these grounded discussions has been Candidate Susan O’Leary. I have witnessed her integrity on a board for the past couple of years, her thoughtfulness and clarity when faced with difficult decisions whether business and financial related or personnel in nature. She is fair, intelligent, hard working and dedicated. Susan can lead with her head as well as her heart. Please consider a vote for Susan O’Leary for County Council.
