FBI News:

The FBI and Albuquerque Police Department are searching for a man who used a stolen rental truck to drag an ATM from a bank in northeast Albuquerque in the morning of Friday, April 15.

The suspect pulled the ATM to a nearby vacant lot west of the bank but was unable to steal any money. He is described as possibly a white or Hispanic male, and he wore a blue Oxford University sweatshirt.

The suspect stole the truck at approximately 4:30 a.m. from a rental business in the 3500 block of Pan American Freeway NE. After hitching a tow strap to the outdoor ATM at New Mexico Bank & Trust at 7021 Jefferson St. NE at approximately 5:29 a.m., the suspect dragged the cash machine to a nearby lot.

The suspect was not able to open the ATM. He was last seen on foot heading north on Washington Street NE.
