Food, Fun, Demonstrations And Discounts: Y Hosts Super Saturday Sign-up Event May 14

YMCA News:

The Family YMCA is hosting a Super Saturday Sign-up Day, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, May 14, featuring food, fun, free demonstration classes and discounts for several programs during this open-house time.

Everyone who comes in to the YMCA at 1450 Iris Street will get a chance to spin a Prize Wheel for a gift.

The public is welcome to join demonstration classes for free, classes and times detailed below but the classes are first come, first served as space is limited. Families who sign up for membership during the open house will have joining fees waived, and if they sign up for Afterschool or Camp, will get registration fees waived, too.

People who sign up for a membership may also enroll in one recreational program for free for one month excluding climbing and TRX programs. Current Y members who bring a guest will get a gift while supplies last. Members who bring a guest that joins the Y on Super Saturday will get a $25 Y gift card, and the guest will get the $50 New Member Fee waived.

Program members who sign up for programs during this time will get a 10 percent discount on each month paid.

Also 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. May 14, the Y will hold a yard sale in the Y gymnasium with games, snacks and chances to win prizes.

Some of the demonstration classes the public is welcome to take:

Cycling Studio at the Y Express 

  • 10 a.m., Y Ride, indoor cycling class

Express Studio:

  • 10:15 a.m., TRX, suspension training
  • 10:45 a.m., TRX, suspension training
  • noon, Kathak Dancing Demonstration

YMCA Studio

  • 11 a.m., Full Body Conditioning
  • 11:30 a.m., “Insanity,” high intensity, body-weight workout
  • noon, “P90X Live,” strength and conditioning

YMCA Gymnasium:

  • 10:30 a.m., Tae Kwon Do
