CHAMBER News:
Fifty-Five Chamber Members were nominated by their peers for recognition as the best business in their field in 2017. Categories include Financial Institution of the Year, Innovative Business of the Year, Restaurant of the Year, Service Business of the Year, Retailer of the Year, Non-profit of the Year, Media Outlet of the Year, and Overall Business of the Year. As Frank Sinatra said, “It Was a Very Good Year”.
The awards will be presented at the Chamber Gala on Saturday night, April 22. The Gala is a 1960’s Vegas-themed evening which includes catering by the Blue Window, entertainment and dancing music provided by a professional Frank Sinatra impersonator, casino games, a silent auction, and the Chamber Awards. Proceeds from the silent auction will be donated to the winner of the Non-profit of the Year.
Tickets to the Gala are $100 per person and any Chamber Member, Chamber Member’s employee or member of a Chamber Member Non-profit can obtain tickets online at https:////losalamoschamber.chambermaster.com/events/details/chamber-gala-224 . All of the nominees will be receiving certificates at the Chamber Gala. The winners in each category will be receiving awards. The winners were selected by a vote limited to one representative from each Chamber Member organization. Every single nominee received at least one vote in the final round of voting, and in some categories there were very close races up until the final votes were counted.
In addition, two businesses will be recognized for their achievements during 2016. One business was voted on by Los Alamos customers for the Best Customer Service during Small Business Saturday.
