The Los Alamos High School Schola Cantorum has been named the 2017 5A State Champions.
This year’s New Mexico State Treble Choir runners-up, the LAHS Bel Canto choir, and Schola Cantorum directed by Jason Rutledge will be combined to perform portions of the Mozart Requiem (KV 626) at 6 p.m. Monday, May 1 at Duane Smith Auditorium.
The concert also will include performances of selections by the LAHS orchestra including the Trout Quintet, the Piano Quintet in A major, D. 667, by Franz Schubert, conducted by Angela Helm.
The concert is open to the public and free of charge. The community is encouraged to attend this peformance in support of the State Champions and all of these fine singers and musicians.
