WHITE ROCK PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH News:

On Sunday, June 11, White Rock Presbyterian Church will celebrate 50 years of witness and service in White Rock and Los Alamos.

White Rock Presbyterian Church was chartered June 25, 1967. For four and a half years WRPC existed as a new church development project of the United Presbyterian Church in the U.S.A. In January of 1972 the church became fully self-supporting, and a year later there were 178 members on the church rolls.

The church met for its first few years at Chamisa Elementary School and moved into its new building at 310 Rover Boulevard in April 1972. A fellowship hall was added in 1974.

Throughout the intervening decades, White Rock Presbyterian Church has faithfully provided worship, discipleship, fellowship, and service opportunities for its members and community.

The White Rock and Los Alamos communities are very welcome to join the church for its celebration Sunday, June 11, with worship at 9:15 a.m. followed by a reception with reminiscences, and a barbecue luncheon. Reservations are requested for the luncheon.

White Rock Presbyterian Church is a member congregation of the Presbyterian Church in the U.S.A. The church is at 310 Rover Blvd. in White Rock. The office phone is 505.672.3682 and the church email address is office@wrpchurch.com.
