COUNTY News:The Los Alamos Fire Department Cadet Class #27 will be doing a community project at Overlook Park in White Rock on Monday, June 12 beginning at 9 a.m., and ending later in the afternoon the same day.
The class will be doing a general clean-up of trash and conducting wildland fire mitigation. The activities are being conducted to enhance the safety of the area in preparation for the upcoming July 4th fireworks display sponsored annually by the Los Alamos Kiwanis Club.
Each LAFD cadet class is required to complete a community improvement project during their 24-week academy assignment.
