The next Tuesdays at the Pond is 7 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 1 and will feature Los Alamos’ own Hill Stompers, at Ashley Pond Park stage.
The Hill Stompers are a crazy street band from Los Alamos that turns every event into a party! They play at parades, fundraisers, community events, weddings, private parties, schools, and bars in New Mexico, Colorado and even as far as Boston. Recently the Hill Stompers thrilled Los Alamos ScienceFest crowds. Just follow the trail of glitter and feathers to find them Aug. 1 Tuesdays at the Pond.
The 2017 Tuesdays at the Pond summer entertainment series has featured a wide variety of musical acts every Tuesday night since June 6 and will continue through Aug. 8. Performances have ranged from a professional wind ensemble to an R&B artist, a folk rock group to a big brass band, and everything in between.
The Los Alamos Creative District directs a variety of programs that bring people to downtown Los Alamos. On Tap is a series of discussions and libations located downtown every first and third Thursday of the month. First Thursdays feature rotating themes of history, nature and art hosted by the Los Alamos Historical Society, Pajarito Environmental Education Center, or Fuller Lodge Art Center respectively. Science On Tap by the Bradbury Science Museum is every third Thursday of the month.
