Love And Logic Classes Starting At FSN

Family Strengths Network will be starting their Love and Logic Parent Series soon and spots are filling up. Register online at www.lafsn.org or call 505.662.4515 for more information.
 
Becoming a Love and Logic Parent Series, raise children who are self-confident, motivated, and ready for the real world with this win-win approach to parenting. Parents with children of all ages, from toddlers to teens, will learn techniques to help your child:
  • Make wise decisions
  • Stop bickering and fighting with siblings
  • Listen the first time they are asked
  • Become a problem solver and learn self accountability
  • Polish your communication skills to help you discuss important issues with your teen, including risk-taking behaviors such as use of alcohol, tobacco, drugs, and sexual activity (teen class).
Dates and Times:
  • Parents of Early Childhood
    • Time: 6-7:30 p.m.
    • Dates: Thursdays, Sept. 28 – Oct. 26
    • Instructor: Amy Rogers
    • Registration required; limited childcare
  • Parents of Grade K-6
    • Time: 6:30-8:30 p.m.
    • Dates: Tuesdays, Oct. 10 – Nov. 14 (no class 10/31)
    • Instructor: Michelangelo Lobato
    • Registration required;  limited childcare
  • Love and Logic High School
    • Time: 8:15-10:30 a.m.
    • Dates: Saturdays, Sept. 30 – Nov. 4 (no class 10/7)

Meet the Instructors:
 
Michelangelo Lobato: counselor at Chamisa Elementary, former Director of the Teen Center, has a Masters Degree in counseling and has worked with youth and families for more than 15 years.
 
 
 
 
 
 
Amy Rogers: has extensive experience in working with children and families as an elementary special education teacher and counselor. She holds Master of Arts degrees from the University of Northern Colorado in School Counseling and Agency Counseling and in Special Education.
