One of two young men detained this evening by Los Alamos police officers sits on the ground as the other is handcuffed. Los Alamos police officers stopped the white pickup with the two men inside at around 6 p.m. in the Smith’s Marketplace parking lot. Both men were detained and transported to the Los Alamos Detention Center and reportedly released. Witnesses say before police arrived there was a brawl involving some 15 people and that when they saw police vehicles arriving they scattered, some on foot and others jumping quickly into cars and trucks to flee the scene.
