FRIENDS OF LOS ALAMOS COUNTY LIBRARIES News:

The Friends of Los Alamos County LIbraries in Mesa Public Library on Central Avenue, is running a sale for 50 percent off of everything in the bookstore.

The sale is just in time for any last minute gift shopping. The sale will run through Christmas Eve, Sunday, Dec. 24. The store will be closed Christmas Day, Monday, Dec. 25.

Open seven days a week, 52 weeks a year and entirely staffed by volunteers, the bookstore gives all its proceeds to programs, services, special events and additions to the collections at all three libraries in Los Alamos. Besides the White Rock Brank Library and the Mesa Public Library, there is a library at the detention center.

The Friends have been around since 1978 and the dedicated volunteers look forward to serving the community for another 40 years.
