FUMC News:

The Lenten Ecumenical Series “For Such a Time as This …” will begin Thursday with the Rev. David Elton of The United Church of Los Alamos preaching “Is ‘Perhaps’ Enough?” on Esther 4: 12-17. 

The First United Methodist Church (FUMC) of Los Alamos choir will be performing.

Children and youth are invited to The Book of Esther led by Rev. Alicia Pope of Trinity on the Hill Episcopal Church, Rev. Nicole’ Ferry of Bethlehem Evangelical Lutheran Church and Lisa Jo Bezner of FUMC. This class will explore Esther through the VeggieTales’ Esther: The Girl Who Became Queen as it applies to loyalty to family and community, using our gifts, speaking truth to power and prayer.

Adult classes this year will be The Four Acts of Prayer by the Rev. Russ Sorensen of Bethlehem Evangelical Lutheran Church; Be Prepared! Preparedness in Many Ways facilitated by Dr. Bob Thomsen and Five Gifts of Grace by the Rev. Steve Trout of FUMC.

This annual series begins at 6 p.m. with soup and bread dinner provided by FUMC, which is followed by classes at 6:40 p.m. and worship at 7:30 p.m. Childcare is provided for children under 5 years of age. The series takes place at FUMC at 715 Diamond Dr.
