Want to learn more about what is visible in the night sky this month or see a planetarium film about black holes? At 7 p.m., Friday, March 2, Paul Arendt will introduce celestial objects in the March night sky along with some recent discoveries in astronomy.
At 2 p.m. Saturday, March 3, the full-dome film We are Astronomers will play on the planetarium dome. Both of these shows take place in the Los Alamos Nature Center planetarium.
During the night sky show, images of celestial objects will be projected onto the planetarium dome. Bring your questions and curiosity to this astronomy show.
We are Astronomers, a family-friendly film that connects us to the evolution of the Universe and explores the secrets of our cosmic chemistry, will play in the planetarium at 2 p.m. March 3. This exciting film reveals the global collaboration, technology, and dedication required to answer the unresolved questions of the Universe.

The Los Alamos Nature Center will be open regular hours this month and in March: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday as well as 1-4 p.m., Sunday. The nature center is open late Tuesdays, until 8 p.m., and closed Thursdays for regular maintenance.
