Los Alamos County Council Continues To Seek Letters Of Interest To Fill Vacancy … Deadline Jan. 24

COUNTY News: 

With just one Letter of Interest received to date, the Los Alamos County Council continues to seek letters from those interested in filling the unexpired term of Councilor Christine Chandler, who ended her term with Council upon election as the House District 43 representative. Her term expires Dec. 31, 2020. 

Applicants must be a registered voter and resident of Los Alamos County, and cannot be employed by the County. They should submit a letter of interest explaining their background, experience and why they are interested in the position. Letters of interest must be received no later than 5 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 24. 

The letter should be submitted to Harry Burgess, County Manager, 1000 Central Ave, Suite 350, Los Alamos, NM 87544. The letter also may be emailed by the deadline to lacmanager@lacnm.us

Any individual submitting a Letter of Interest must attend the Council meeting at 6 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 29 in Council Chambers, and be prepared to respond to questions from Councilors. The Council expects to interview applicants and then make their selection that evening.
