Learn what will be coming up in March’s night skies Friday, March 1 at the Los Alamos Nature Center.

Astronomer Steve Becker will give audience members an interactive tour of the heavens and highlight planets, star patterns and constellations that may be readily observed throughout the month. This event begins at 7 p.m. and is perfect for beginner stargazers.

In addition to this talk, the nature center will show the full-dome film “National Parks Adventure” at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 2. This vibrant film explores beautiful views and incredible adventures in the nation’s parks. The film was brought to Los Alamos by C.B. FOX, Metzger’s Hardware and the Delle Foundation, with additional funding from the Manhattan Project National Historical Park.

Seating is limited for both of these events, so call the nature center at 505.662.0460 or stop by to reserve tickets. Admission for both programs is $6 for adults and $4 for children. Events in the planetarium are not recommended for children under age 4.
