Traffic Alert:
Weather permitting, water crews with the Los Alamos Department of Public Utilities will replace a section of water line on Rover Boulevard between N.M. 4 and Meadow Lane.
Work is scheduled for one day only beginning at 8 a.m. and wrapping up by 7 p.m. Saturday, April 6.
Traffic control devices will be erected on the east side of the road and will block the south driveway for Del Norte Credit Union. The north driveway will remain open for ingress and egress to the credit union. Northbound traffic on Rover Rover Boulevard will be shifted to the center lane around the construction zone.
Water services will be interrupted 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. for customers on Rover Boulevard between N.M. 4 and Meadow Lane. Doorhangers have been distributed to those who will be affected by the outage. Motorists are urged to observe the speed limit and traffic control signs.

The Department of Public Utilities (DPU) operates the county-owned electric, gas, water and wastewater systems under the jurisdiction of the Board of Public Utilities. The Board meets at 5:30 p.m. every third Wednesday of the month in Council Chambers at 1000 Central Ave. The DPU is funded by rates paid for electric, gas, water and wastewater services and auxiliary fees, and has provided the community with these services for more than 50 years.
