ART News:

Los Alamos clay artists Darla Graff Thompson and Gloria Gilmore-House will represent Los Alamos in the Celebration of Clay: Many Hands, Many Ways at the Gallery at Santa Fe Clay.

The show will host its opening reception 5-7 p.m. April 26 at the Gallery at Santa Fe Clay, located in the Rail Yard District at 45 Camino de la Familia. The show continues through May 31.

Graff Thompson’s and Gilmore-House’s work is shown at the Fuller Lodge Art Center, which debuted the Celebration of Clay show in 2015. The theme that year was Conversations in Clay.

It was a success that continues with clay artists from Santa Fe and northern New Mexico participating in shows at the art center.

New Mexico Potters and Clay Artists (NMPCA) partners with venues around the state to offer an annual exhibition celebrating and encouraging creative expression in ceramic arts by members of this state-wide organization.

This year there are 44 artists participating in the show whose entries represent the creativity, quality and innovation that they are particularly proud to share with the public.

Santa Fe Clay is widely known for its excellence and diversity of ceramic art and is open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
