Santa Fe Summer Shakespeare Events Coming Up!

SFSS News:

Come enjoy an hour or so of great fun showing off or learning more and of course laughing a lot!

How well do you know your Shakespeare? Join the fun—everyone is a contestant! Choose a category, and anyone in the room who supplies the correct “question” to the proposed “answer” (per the Jeopardy quiz show format), wins points and prizes!

Hosted by Robin Williams and Amy Meilander of the ISC 6:30-8 p.m., Tuesday, July 30, at Shakespeare Reading Room, 3209-A Calle Marie, Santa Fe.

The Comedy Of Errors
6 p.m., Aug. 2, 3 and 4$10
Santa Fe Botanical Garden
715 Camino Lejo • Santa Fe

This delightful little play, produced by the Upstart Crows, has more in it than meets the eye: A shipwreck that separates a family, two sets of identical twins, an execution at sunset, a reunion, interspersed with questions of marriage, love, self, madness, mayhem, and a sonnet.

iRead Shakespeare–outloud and in community

And of course we have reading groups that anyone can drop in on. Come to read aloud or just listen and discuss! Robin Williams facilitates Henry the Fourth, Part One, on Sunday mornings; this Sunday, August 4, we will read the play straight through because we finished our close read! The following week we start a “close enough” read of Henry the Fourth, Part Two.

The Wednesday morning group, 10 a.m. to noon, just started reading The Merchant of Venice Shakespeare at Reading Room, 3209-A Calle Marie.

Barry Hatfield leads The Merchant of Venice at the La Farge Library on Sunday afternoons; free.
