Candia And Marr Tie For Best Predictor In Pace Race

Roxana Candia and Duane Marr each had a 3 second differential from their predicted time to tie for best predictor in the weekly pace race held Tuesday across from the Laboratory “S” Site. 
 
Candia also was the fastest female on the 3 mile paved course with a time of 28:42 and Marr was the fastest male on the 1 mile paved course at 20:29.
 
Other accurate predictors are: 
  • Adrian Medin at 19 seconds off;
  • Zach Medin with a 25 second difference as well as the best finisher in the 3 mile paved course at 22:05;
  • Sanna Sevanto recording a 28 second differential and the top female finisher in the 3 mile trail course with a time of 28:02;
  • Kath Daly and Chris Michel each had a 42 second difference;
  • Sonja Behnke was the top finisher in the 1 mile paved course recording a 11:39;
  • William Strother, 10, was the first finisher at 10:14 and Nikol Strother had a time of 10:17 for best female finisher on the 1 mile course; and
  • Ryan Smeltzer was the top finisher on the 3 mile trail course recording a 24:43.
 
Next week’s race is 6 p.m., Tuesday, July 30, starting at the West end of the Canyon Rim Trail by the Smith’s Marketplace parking lot next to the body shop at the end of Knecht Street. 1 and 3 mile paved courses will be available.
