Parks & Recreation Board Hosts Special Public Meeting On Recreation Capital Projects At Fuller Lodge Aug. 28

The public is invited to attend a special Los Alamos County Parks and Recreation Board Meeting Wednesday, Aug. 28 at Fuller.

The purpose of the public meeting Lodge to review and comment on preliminary designs for three recreation facility projects that include the Kiddie/Mutigenerational Pool at the Aquatic Center, Piñon Park Splash Pad and Golf Course Irrigation Improvements.

Presentations begin at 5:30 p.m. followed by a question and answer period for each project.

In the interest of managing time, the projects will be presented in the following order and approximate timeframes:

  • 5:30-6:15 p.m. Kiddie/Multigenerational Pool;
  • 6:15-7 p.m. Piñon Park Splash Pad; and
  • 7-7:45 p.m. Golf Course Irrigation.

County staff and the design teams also will be available following the formal meeting session to discuss the projects with those interested.

Residents can provide written comments the night of the meeting. Public comment will continue to be accepted through Friday, Sept. 6 and shared with the design teams.

Additional meetings will be scheduled in the coming months as the projects are developed to various stages of design and also will include a fourth project involving improvements to the Ice Rink for which design activities have just begun.
