Michael Venticinque of New Mexico Farmers Marketing Association shows off 65 bins filled with pumpkins. The total weight is more than 32,000 pounds. The pumpkins will be delivered to Los Alamos Oct. 25, the day before the Los Alamos Arts Council attempts to earn the Guinness World Record for ‘Most People Carving Pumpkins Simultaneously’. The Arts Council thanks Steve Ness of Ness Farms, Venticinque and Dan Lucero of Pueblo Fruits & Vegetables, Inc., for their hard work and support to make this attempt possible. Participants in the world record attempt should arrive by 2:45 p.m. Oct. 26 at the lawn outside Fuller Lodge. The carving event will conclude at 4:30 p.m. The pumpkins will be displayed during the Los Alamos Arts Council’s World Grand Display and Pumpkin Glow following the carving event.
