EDD News:
A roundtable discussion is set for 3:30-4:30 p.m. Friday, May 1, with U.S. Rep. Ben Ray Luján (D-N.M.).
Agriculture Secretary Jeff Witte and Economic Development Department (EDD) Secretary Alicia J. Keyes also will participate on the panel for the roundtable.
Roundtable topics include:
- Rep. Lujan will discuss the latest COVID-19 CARES legislation that just passed last week, including updates to the federal SBA loan program and other federal monies flowing to New Mexico.
- Secretary Witte will provide information about support available through NMDA and USDA for the agricultural industry, to assist New Mexico’s farmers and ranchers.
- Secretary Keyes will provide a general overview of available state assistance programs.
Questions to the panelists may be posted when participants register. All questions will be chosen in advance to fit the tight presentation schedule.
