We had numerous gunshots in the Western Area last night (4th of July).

It got so bad that I had to call 911 to report it. The dispatcher reacted like mine was  one of many calls.

The police were patrolling when I took my trash out; armed. Mom, Dad, where are you?

I just want clarify my issue is the lack of parental supervision, not the use of firearms.
