Dolores was born in San Luis, New Mexico on October 23, 1928. Dolores, her husband Manuel and their children lived in Los Alamos for many years until Manuel retired from Los Alamos National Laboratory. A few years later, the retired couple moved to Albuquerque, where they enjoyed spending quiet days at home with one another. They also loved traveling together.

They were faithful and active members of St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church for many years. Dolores was a perfect example of a Proverbs 31 woman. She devoted her life to being a Godly wife and mother. She loved her husband with all of her being and she truly lived out her faith. Dolores put her relationship with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ above all. She also had a love for the Blessed Mother.

Dolores’ vocation was to her family. She worked hard to keep up “A Household of Faith” filled with unconditional love, wisdom and grace. She gave her children beautiful memories and was a model of Godly virtue and strength. Dolores’ children “rise up and call her blessed!”

Her family will miss her dearly and although there will be tears, they know she is now at rest in the arms of Jesus.

The Olivas Family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Heritage Hospice for treating Dolores with love, respect and gentleness. Funeral Services for Dolores will be held at 9:30am on August 12, 2020 at St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church, 5712 Paradise Blvd. N.W. Albuquerque, New Mexico 87114.
