The weekly items-out-the-door average is more than 2,500 books, DVDs and other library materials. Some afternoons are so busy at the main library that staff answer as many as 100-130 phone calls from patrons looking to pick up their holds. Mesa Public Library and the White Rock Branch are changing curbside pick-up hours to accommodate patrons who need weekend access to materials pick-up. Starting Dec. 8, items may be picked up 2-6 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. There will be no curbside service Monday, Dec. 7 at either library. Courtesy/LAC
