LIBRARY News:

Make an appointment to get a new card, upgrade a temporary card, or pay for lost or damaged items at Mesa Public Library.

  • Starting Tuesday, Feb. 9, patrons can make appointments at Mesa Public Library for library card account maintenance; to issue new cards, upgrade temporary cards, and make payments for lost or damaged items.
  • Call the library at 505.662.8250 or email libweb@lacnm.us to reserve an appointment during curbside hours, 2-6 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. When requesting a reservation by voicemail or email, wait for Library staff to confirm the reservation before coming to the Library. Walk in reservations are not available. There are benefits to converting a temporary card to a permanent card: a card won’t expire after six months, and permanent card holders can check out more items through curbside service.

To obtain a new or permanent card, bring proof of identity such as driver’s license or other picture ID along with a utility bill or rental agreement showing a current address. The library can accept checks or exact change cash payments, credit card payments can be made at the Aquatic Center.

Curbside pick-up of library materials along with public access computer use by appointment continues 2-6 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays at Mesa Public Library and White Rock Branch Library. Digital and electronic resources are available 24/7 with a library card. WiFi is available 24/7 from outside the library at both library locations.
