Council Tentatively OKs Administrative Services Budget

Los Alamos Deputy County Manager Steve Lynne, bottom right, presents the proposed $9,990,097 FY-2022 budget for the Administrative Services during Monday night’s budget hearing. Council tentatively approved 7-0 the proposed budget along with several budget add-options. Highlights of the budget options are double-filling the Budget and Performance Manager position, $74,331, and the IM Senior Management and Analyst position, $31,000, so the new hires can train with the current employees, a $42,220 agreement with Cisco Security Enterprise, County video surveillance storage capacity, $44,400, and a payroll coordinator, $115,465. A few budget options were placed in the ‘parking lot’ to be discussed later in the hearings. These items included several expenses related to broadband. They range from broadband consulting, $175,000, a broadband manager position, $161,664, and design services, $500,000. Additionally, council agreed to discuss in a future hearing assigning $150,000-$200,000 in capital improvement project funds for UNM-LA. Screenshot/LADP
