Here we go again.
If it happens to me once in awhile, I would suggest strongly that you check your receipts after grocery shopping.
Smith’s White Rock was out of La Brea sourdough bread two days in a row, so when I was on the Hill Saturday, Sept. 18, I stopped to get bread. I got two loaves and going to check out, I passed green grapes on sale. So I picked up a bag.
Good thing I only had two items and I looked at my receipt. The grapes on sale for .88 cents a pound were rung up at $1.97 a pound, and my bread rung up at $3.99 instead of $2.99.
How many of you are making “donations” and not even aware of it?
Of course, the cashier corrected the “mistakes” after I brought it to her attention.
