The Build Back Better Act will provide our communities with healthy food; safe homes; quality early childhood education; clean water, air, and soil; updated schools, roads, bridges and broadband; better wages for educators and homecare providers; improved healthcare through expanded Medicaid and Medicare; and ~34,500 quality, and sustainable jobs.
Most Americans, and Democrats in Congress, overwhelmingly support this Act. But because 4% of Dems in Congress don’t, there is debate about possibly cutting some programs, or the years they’ll be funded.
As a mental health professional, I know this legislation will greatly improve all New Mexicans’ lives. Thankfully, Congresswoman Leger-Fernandez has advocated strongly for it. Please contact our NM Federal delegation. Urge them to quickly pass the entire Build Back Better Act, without means testing and with full funding for at least 5 years. It is a much-needed investment in our future.
