Staff Report

A few weeks ago, Metzger’s worked with Traeger Grills to give a wood pallet grill and accessories to the Los Alamos Fire Department in appreciation for its dedicated service to the community.

Metzger’s General Manager David Jolly asked Fire Chief Troy Hughes to decide how LAFD wanted to select which fire station would receive the grill.

Chief Hughes and his command staff together with the County decided that each of the fire stations in Los Alamos and White Rock have worked so hard, especially through the COVID-19 pandemic, that they all deserve a grill.

So Los Alamos County purchased an additional five packages to thank each station. The value of the grill donated by Metzger’s and Traeger is about $1,788, and Metzger’s was able to get some reduced pricing to pass along on the additional five grills, Jolly said.
