Los Alamos MainStreet News:
The Los Alamos MainStreet program met Tuesday, Nov. 2 with community partners and representatives from the New Mexico MainStreet (NMMS) state program during its annual accreditation site visit.
NMMS announced during its visit that the Los Alamos MainStreet program would be accredited in 2022.
NMMS annually evaluates the performance of local programs in partnership with Main Street America to confirm they have met certain national performance standards.
Accredited programs have access to state and federal grant programs. Accredited programs also may tap into expertise from revitalization specialists who provide complimentary professional services to MainStreet districts related to topics ranging from business and entrepreneur development, historical preservation, marketing and design, urban design, property redevelopment, creative economy and more.
