COUNTY News:
The Los Alamos County Community Services Department (CSD) seeks community input to develop an Integrated Community Services Master Plan.
Interested members of the public can provide feedback at 6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 3 during a virtual focus group using this Zoom link with Passcode: 0203.
CSD hired a professional consulting service to assist in the development of an Integrated Community Services Master Plan. This plan is to identify and assess existing programs, services, facilities, and gaps.
Additionally, it will look at future needs and integrate these findings into an actionable plan among the critical areas of parks, cultural services, social services, recreation, open space, trails, and libraries. The desire is to produce a 7–10-year road map to systematically invest, improve programs and services, establish best practices, and prioritize the community’s needs to continuously improve the department, divisions, and quality of life in our community.
Previous focus group meetings and videos are listed on the Community Services Project page. The upcoming focus group on Thursday will recap discussions from previous meetings and allow for additional feedback on the plan and process.
