Tails are wagging all over Los Alamos in anticipation of the 2022 Los Alamos Dog Jog, to be held Saturday, April 30.
The Dog Jog is an annual fundraiser for the Friends of Shelter and Companion Animals (FOSCA), an all-volunteer organization that uses this money to provide funding for spay/neuter programs and veterinary care for ill and injured dogs and cats whose owners cannot afford expensive care for their beloved pets.
This year’s Dog Jog will be dedicated to the memory of a very special Los Alamos resident, Kent Pegg, who was a very valued and admired person, and who had a deep love for animals.
The Dog Jog Committee is calling on all creative young artists to put your imaginations and love of dogs to work by submitting a drawing for the 2022 Dog Jog Logo Contest!
The Logo Contest is open to youngsters in third through sixth grades whose family lives or works in Los Alamos County. Extra consideration will be given to entries that incorporate the initials “K” and “P” into the design.
The winning design will be used as the official 2022 Los Alamos Dog Jog logo and will be placed on event t-shirts and other official event materials. The Logo Contest winner also will receive one free t-shirt.

FOSCA has extended the deadline for the logo entry until 5 p.m. March 18, 2022.
