ALBUQUERQUE — At 6:30 p.m. MT/8:30 p.m. ET, today, Rep. Melanie Stansbury will host an Instagram Live alongside her virtual State of the Union guests ahead of President Joe Biden’s national address.

Rep. Stansbury’s guests include Sean Thomas, a social studies teacher at Eldorado High School, Sarah Hager, an educator at Cleveland Middle School, and Loyola Cortinas, an educator at Tierra Antigua Elementary School. 

Thomas, Hager and Cortinas will join Rep. Stansbury to highlight the educational impacts of the American Rescue Plan and the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law and will share the ways in which the passage of the entirety of President Biden’s agenda will support educators, students, and learning across New Mexico. 

While in-person attendance at this year’s State of the Union Address will be limited, Rep. Stansbury is lifting up the stories of Thomas, Hager, and Cortinas as her virtual guests to this year’s speech. Additionally, Thomas, Hager, and Cortinas will hold media availability in Albuquerque following the Instagram Live with Rep. Stansbury.
