About Los Alamos MainStreet:

MainStreet is a state-accredited program that’s part of the private, non-profit Los Alamos Commerce & Development Corporation (LACDC) that also oversees the Creative District and projectY cowork space.

The program works with local businesses in the downtown districts of Los Alamos and White Rock on grants and other resources, is involved in the upcoming Metropolitan Redevelopment Area (MRA) Plan for White Rock (which will be a tool to help foster some public-private partnerships and spur economic development activities).

MainStreet also provides access to a complimentary network of professional advisers who work with local businesses on topics ranging from business coaching and support, property development, historic preservation, graphic design and marketing, operations assistance and much more – including the currently proposed vacancy ordinance.

The team also is in the midst of planning another Retail Accelerator program in conjunction with the Chamber of Commerce, and the Creative District’s summer entertainment series, Tuesdays at the Pond.

Businesses and organizations interested in hosting an event or activity in downtown can apply for a Small Project Grant, which is currently accepting applications.
