USSSA Presents Plaque Of Appreciation To Metzger’s General Manager David Jolly For Generosity To Sports Team

USSSA Representatives Joseph Torres, left, and Frank Montoya, right, present Metzger’s Do It Best General Manager David Jolly, center, with a plaque Monday morning at the store in Los Alamos. Montoya explained that to take advantage of the County’s work credit program in lieu of paying fees to use its ball fields, about 120 members of the local USSSA adult softball team held a work party April 16 at Overlook Park. After talking to Jolly, the team was given a substantial discount on supplies to do the work. As a token of appreciation, the USSSA adult softball team presented Jolly with a plaque in appreciation of his and Metzger’s generosity. ‘We try to do this whenever we can for anyone in the community,’ Jolly said. ‘Metzger’s has been a community-based business … we appreciate that they are helping to grow the community any way they can,’ Montoya said.
