Please slow down and use caution within the construction work zones. Please note the below information is based on a schedule provided by the contractors and may change due to weather or other delays.
Sherwood Boulevard and Aztec Avenue
Crews with Star Paving Company will continue road and drainage improvements on Sherwood Boulevard between Piedra Loop and Aztec Avenue. Sherwood will be closed to through traffic at the intersection of Aztec Avenue. Residents on Sherwood will be required to enter and exit via Grand Canyon Drive. This closure is necessary to facilitate installation of new storm drainpipe. Traffic devices and detour signs are in place to help motorists, bicyclists and pedestrians navigate around the work zone.
Vehicular access is limited to those who reside in the immediate work area and mail delivery, emergency services, trash, and recycling collection. For the safety of the traveling public, residents are asked not to or remove or relocate traffic control devices, signs, and barricades.
Cumbres del Norte
Star Paving crews continue removal operations of curbs and gutters, sidewalks, and drive pads from the intersection of Camino Redondo and San Ildefonso heading south for approximately 1,000 feet. Expect contractor personnel and equipment within the area. Please use caution while traveling through the project work zone.
Traffic & Streets Projects:

Countywide Striping
Crews will continue striping roads in White Rock and Los Alamos. Vehicle and pedestrian traffic are urged to maintain a safe distance from the striping equipment to prevent getting their property from sprayed with paint.
Sidewalk Replacements on Navajo Road
Streets crews will be replacing sidewalks on Navajo Road until complete. Work will begin each day at 8 a.m. and finish by 3:30 p.m. Sidewalks will be closed. Detours for pedestrian traffic will be in place. Please follow all traffic devices.
Sidewalk Replacements on Loma del Escolar near Barranca Elementary
Streets crews will continue replacing sidewalks in front of Barranca Elementary School until complete. Work will begin each day at 8 a.m. and finish by 3:30 p.m. Sidewalks will be closed. Detours for pedestrian traffic will be in place. Please follow all traffic devices.
Non-County Projects:
The following road construction updates are posted below in the interest of keeping residents informed but are being managed or conducted by others. Please obey all traffic devices and slowdown in work zones.
Sidewalk Closure: East Side of 15th Street between Trinity Drive & Central Avenue
CableCom, LLC and 2 Men 1 Cable will be boring along 15th Street between Trinity Drive & Central Avenue to replace pedestals within this location.
The sidewalk will be closed on the east side of 15th from Trinity to Central. The sidewalk will also be closed from the SE corner of the 15th and Central intersection heading east on Central. Detour signs will be in place.
Please follow all traffic control devices. Work will start June 6 and be completed by June 16. Crews will begin work daily at 9 a.m. and end by 4 p.m.

LANL: Work occurring on Pecos Drive to Puye Road
From now until July 29, one lane from Pecos Drive to Puye Road in the Pajarito Corridor will be closed while a sidewalk is installed. Be on the lookout for road work.
