Registration is open and space is limited for STEM Santa Fe’s Summer STEM Circles (formerly known as Summer STEM Camps)! Learn more and register your student here.
Sessions run all week from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m., with lunch and snacks provided. There is a registration fee of $25/week which can be waived upon request, and a cap of 20 students per session. Every participant will also receive a STEM Santa Fe t-shirt.
Aviation and Aerospace (June 20- 24) at Santa Fe Regional Airport Jet Center:
For girls and nonbinary students rising into 7th -12th grade. Learn about different careers in Aviation and Aerospace with hands-on activities, demos and presentations, by professionals and pilots from the aviation industry and in collaboration with the local members of the two organizations: Women in Aviation International (WAI) Land of Enchantment Chapter and the Rio Grande Norte Chapter of The Ninety-Nines, Inc.
App Development on Gaming for Education (June 27 – July 1) at Santa Fe Community College:
For girls and nonbinary students rising into 7th -12th grade. Attendees will learn the fundamentals of coding and app development and then create an app-based game to educate people about a topic that interests them. All attendees will be mentored through the process of submitting their apps to the Congressional App Challenge. No previous coding experience is needed.
Building a Laser Harp (July 5-8) at Santa Fe Community College:
For ALL students rising into 7th -12th grade. The Laser Harp project is a replica of a popular laser harp at Meow Wolf. This project is a table-top instrument that has only three lasers with an Arduino board that will play a tone when a beam is interrupted. No previous coding experience is needed. A free fieldtrip to Meow Wolf will be arranged.
